Meetings
Regular
Council regular meets are held in the Conference Room of City Hall in St. Eugene or online. Council shall meet at 6:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month of each year, except July (no meeting), unless otherwise determined by Council.
If the day scheduled for a regular meeting of council is a holiday or a day of religious observance which prevents the attendance of any member of council, the meeting will be held on the next business day, unless otherwise provided by resolution of council.
Special
Special meetings shall be called as needed for urgent matters or for specific issues. The Chairperson of the Council may call a special meeting or, upon receipt of a petition signed by a majority of the members of the Council, the Clerk may call a special meeting for the reasons and on the date specified in the petition.
Closed
All meetings of the Council are open to the public. However, the Council may be required to hold a meeting or a portion of a meeting in private. Before holding a meeting or any part of a meeting in private, Council must state by resolution the fact that the meeting is to be held in private and the general nature of the business to be conducted.
