Garbage is collected weekly. Your garbage bin must be placed with the logo facing the street. See the garbage collection schedule to find out which day garbage will be picked up at your residence.

Recycling

Recycling is collected weekly. See the recycling collection schedule to find out which day it will be picked up at your home. There is no limit to the number of recyclable items in your recycling bins. Small recycling bins are available at City Hall at a cost of $20.

As of July 1st 2023, your blue box recycling program will be managed by Circular Materials, a non-profit recycling organization committed to building efficient recycling systems to minimize waste and ensure that materials are reused again and again. This transition will not result in any changes to the materials you can recycle or to your current recycling schedule. More information will be provided in the coming months.

Styrofoam

The Township does not collect Styrofoam, containers are available at Recycle-Action in Hawkesbury. The service is free.
