Volunteer Firefighter Recruitment
The Municipality is currently accepting applications for Volunteer Firefighters.
We are seeking responsible, motivated individuals who are interested in serving and protecting their community as part of a dedicated fire service team.
A recruitment competition FD 2026-01 is now in place. Candidates have until March 13 to submit their application.
Interested candidates are invited to submit their résumé (CV) by email to the Fire Chief, Bryce Luker, at firechief@easthawkesbury.ca.
Selected applicants will be contacted as part of the recruitment and selection process. All required training will be provided.

COMPETITION – VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTER
The East Hawkesbury Municipal Fire Department is currently seeking candidates to fill volunteer firefighter positions. Volunteer firefighters participate in emergency responses, practice sessions, training, and public safety and prevention activities.
Requirements:
• Be 18 years of age or older;
• Reside in or near the municipality;
• Have a valid driver's license;
• Be in good physical condition;
• Be available for training, practice sessions, and interventions.
No prior experience is required. Training and equipment will be provided.
